After more than two decades of battling chronic health conditions with conventional medicine, a resident of Ranchi has reported significant improvement following a structured wellness program that combined traditional therapies. Rita Devi, aged 59, says her reliance on high-dose insulin injections reduced after she underwent treatment at a renowned wellness center in Haridwar.
A Long Struggle with Conventional Treatment
Rita Devi from Ranchi, Jharkhand, had been managing diabetes and a thyroid imbalance for over 22 years. For the majority of this period, she depended on allopathic treatments. In the recent year, her regimen intensified, requiring daily insulin injections of up to 40 units alongside other costly medications. Despite her strict adherence to this medical protocol, she experienced little improvement, and her daily life continued to be a challenge.
A Turn to Holistic Healing at Patanjali
Seeking an alternative path, Rita Devi opted for treatment at Patanjali Wellness in Haridwar. She was admitted as a patient from 21 April 2024 to 28 April 2024. Her case was managed by Vaidya Anuj Shastri and Vaidya Anjana Deshpande, who crafted a personalized wellness plan based on her detailed medical history.
The program emphasized an integrated, holistic approach. It included traditional physical therapies designed to support circulation and joint health, such as hot water baths (Garam Snan), hot and cold compress therapy, knee wraps, and reverse walking.
The Power of Yoga and Pranayama
A core component of her daily schedule was a structured yoga and breathing routine performed under expert guidance. Her practice included pranayama techniques like Anulom Vilom, Kapalbhati, Bhramari, and Bahya Pranayama for respiratory balance and mental relaxation.
The yoga asana routine was extensive, featuring poses such as Bhujangasana, Paschimottanasana, Shavasana, Pawanmuktasana, Surya Namaskar, Dhanurasana, and many others aimed at enhancing overall physical wellness.
Noticeable Results and Renewed Confidence
Rita Devi reports experiencing noticeable relief within a short period. Her blood sugar levels stabilized, and her dependence on insulin decreased under medical supervision. She also observed an improvement in her thyroid-related symptoms, alongside better energy levels and overall comfort.
After years of discomfort, she shares that this integrated approach made her feel physically lighter and mentally more confident. Her experience highlights how structured wellness programs that responsibly incorporate traditional practices like yoga and Ayurveda can support long-term health management. It is crucial to note that individual outcomes may vary, and any change in treatment should be undertaken with professional medical advice.
