Tragic Suicide of Lucknow Teenager Linked to Hair Loss Distress
A 17-year-old girl in Lucknow has allegedly died by suicide, with her family attributing the tragic incident to severe mental distress caused by prolonged hair loss. The incident occurred in the Kanshiram Colony of the Para area on Saturday night, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Years of Treatment and Unrelenting Stress
According to family members, the teenager had been undergoing medical treatment for hair loss for the past six years. Despite these efforts, her hair did not regrow, leading to persistent distress and emotional turmoil. Relatives revealed that she often faced taunts and social stigma due to her condition, which significantly contributed to her deteriorating mental state.
Details of the Fateful Night
On the night of the incident, the girl's mother and brother had left their home to attend a wedding ceremony, leaving her alone. Sub-inspector Kuldeep Verma from Thakurganj Police Station provided details of the case, noting that the girl's father works abroad, which may have added to the family's challenges.
