King’s College India, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Rohtak, celebrated International Yoga Day with a special wellness event on June 23, 2026. The event, held at 6:30 am, drew renowned doctors, their families, and community members to promote yoga and healthy living.
Distinguished Participants and Guidance
The event was graced by Dr Amit Mann, President of IMA Rohtak, senior physician Dr Ravindra Hooda, Dr Ashok Verma, Dr R.K. Chaudhary, Dr Ishwar Singh, and other IMA members. Representing the host institution were Mr Aman Narwal and Mrs Disha Narwal, board members of King’s College India. Experienced and skilled instructors led participants through a calm and enriching session, emphasizing that yoga is not merely exercise but a holistic journey toward a healthier body, balanced mind, and inner peace.
Emphasis on Yoga as Heritage and Solution
Dr Amit Mann and senior physician Dr Ravindra Hooda highlighted that yoga is India’s invaluable heritage and an effective solution to growing challenges of stress, unhealthy lifestyles, and physical inactivity. They encouraged people, especially children and young adults, to incorporate yoga and pranayama into daily routines to achieve better health and contribute to a better society. The event aimed to raise awareness about the ancient practice’s vital role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and combating modern health issues.
