Actor Donal Bisht believes that wellness is not about intense routines but about balance and self-awareness. She emphasizes that on low days, the best remedy is simple and natural. "In your dull days, you need good energy—so step into nature. Go to the mountains, a park, or even for a walk. Nature energizes you far more than concrete surroundings," she says.
Practical Fitness During Hectic Schedules
When it comes to fitness during busy shoot schedules, Donal keeps it practical. "When you're working 24x7, your body is already burning calories. People stress too much about workouts. Even 10–20 minutes is enough. If you miss a day, it's okay—just continue the next day. Don't overthink it," she advises.
Sustainable Habits Over Perfection
She emphasizes building sustainable habits rather than chasing perfection. "Even 15 minutes of exercise is better than nothing. Make it a routine and it will flow naturally," she shares, adding that mental well-being matters more. "If you're not happy inside, no external change will last. Read, walk, or just spend time with yourself."
Upbringing and Lifestyle
Coming from an army background, Donal says fitness was always a part of her upbringing. "Since childhood, my mother made us stay active—it became a lifestyle. Today, I work out just two to three times a week or sometimes only for 20 minutes." She also highlights the importance of understanding one's body. "It takes time to know what suits you. Your body changes, so you have to be mindful of what keeps you healthy and happy."
Summing it up, Donal keeps it real and simple: "Don't stress. Take care of yourself first—mentally and physically—and everything else will follow."
