According to a senior police official, a total of 17 residents attended the private party. The attendees reportedly prepared their own food at the venue, which included dishes made with chicken and fish. They also consumed liquor during the gathering. After the festivities concluded, all guests returned to their respective homes.

Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident. Food samples, along with the materials used in cooking and the liquor consumed, have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for detailed chemical analysis.
