A high-level district stakeholder sensitisation and planning meeting aimed at accelerating tuberculosis (TB) elimination efforts through active case finding was convened on Saturday at the civil surgeon's office in Ludhiana.
Meeting Objectives and Organisation
The event was organised by World Health Partners (WHP) in collaboration with the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP). The primary goal was to strengthen inter-departmental coordination and enhance early TB detection across the district.

Roadmap for TB Elimination
During the meeting, stakeholders deliberated on the roadmap for eliminating TB in the district. According to the organising committee, the primary objective was to ensure effective implementation of the integrated paediatric TB and technology-enabled active case finding project in the region.
This initiative underscores the commitment of local authorities and health partners to combat TB through coordinated efforts and innovative approaches, aiming to reduce the disease burden and move closer to the national goal of TB elimination by 2025.
