Karnal District Civil Hospital has introduced specialised orthodontic services, including braces and teeth alignment, for patients with irregularly placed teeth, gaps, bite problems, and jaw alignment issues. This new facility aims to provide affordable dental care and reduce the need for patients to travel to higher medical centres.
Affordable Treatment at Government Rates
The cost of orthodontic treatment at the civil hospital will be just Rs 3,000, a significant reduction compared to private clinics, where charges range from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 or more. Government employees are eligible for free treatment under this initiative.
Official Launch and Benefits
Civil Surgeon Dr Poonam Chaudhary dedicated the facility on Wednesday, emphasising its importance for the general public. She stated, “The new service will provide consultation and treatment for children, adolescents, and adults requiring orthodontic care. This initiative will enable patients to access specialised dental treatments within the district, reducing the need to visit higher centres.”
Dr Chaudhary also highlighted the commitment of the civil hospital administration to strengthening healthcare services and providing quality dental care. She urged people to undergo timely check-ups, maintain oral hygiene, and participate in oral cancer screening.
The launch of this facility marks a major step towards making specialised dental care affordable and accessible to all residents of Karnal.
