Officials of the Military Hospital at Agra Military Station convened a meeting on Wednesday with representatives of hospitals empanelled under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) to enhance healthcare services for veterans and their dependents in western Uttar Pradesh. The ECHS provides medical benefits to retired military personnel through a network of polyclinics and partner hospitals across India.
Meeting Highlights
The session was chaired by Brigadier Ajay Kumar, Commandant of the Military Hospital. He emphasized the need to improve patient care and strengthen coordination among empanelled hospitals, ECHS polyclinics, and service hospital authorities. Key discussion points included the prescription of generic medicines as per ECHS policy, timely approval and reimbursement of claims, proper documentation for unlisted medical procedures, and strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms.
Participants
Officials from Regional Centre ECHS Bareilly, Station Headquarters Agra, and ECHS polyclinics in Agra, Etah, Mainpuri, and Firozabad attended the meeting. The collaborative effort aims to streamline healthcare delivery for ex-servicemen and their families in the region.
