A prominent urologist from Sikkim, who had traveled to Indore to participate in the prestigious international urology conference, USICON-2026, tragically passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. Dr. Sanjay Geed, the medical director at Medanta Hospital, confirmed to media sources that "Dr. Bhutia succumbed to her medical conditions on Wednesday". He further stated that her body was being prepared for transportation back to her hometown in Sikkim, where final rites would be conducted according to family traditions and customs.
