Kim Kardashian's Shocking Brain Health Revelation
Reality television star and business mogul Kim Kardashian has received concerning news about her brain health during a recent medical scan. The 45-year-old celebrity learned that the front region of her brain shows significantly low activity levels, according to findings revealed in the latest episode of her show 'The Kardashians' that aired on November 27.
The Brain Scan Procedure with Dr Daniel Amen
During season 7, episode 6 of the popular reality series, Kardashian underwent a comprehensive brain scan alongside Scott Disick under the supervision of renowned celebrity doctor Daniel Amen. "Scott and I are both going to look at our brains today with Dr Daniel Amen. He does these brain scans to see how your brain health is really looking," Kardashian explained in the episode.
Dr Amen, who previously scanned the brains of Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner in 2022, identified concerning patterns in Kim's brain activity. The scan revealed that the front part of her brain is less active than it should be, with the doctor noting the presence of 'holes' in the scan that indicated areas of reduced function.
"With your frontal lobes, as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress, and that's not good for you, especially as you're studying and you're getting ready to take the boards," Dr Amen told the concerned reality star.
Connection to Chronic Stress and Career Goals
The medical professional suggested that the low brain activity could be linked to chronic stress as Kardashian prepares for the challenging California bar exam scheduled for July 2025. The SKIMS founder has been openly documenting her journey toward becoming a lawyer, a process that requires intensive study and preparation.
Kardashian responded to the diagnosis with determination, stating: "That just can't be. It just can't. I'm not accepting that. I've got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have things to do this summer."
Positive News Amid Health Concerns
Despite the worrying findings, Dr Amen provided some reassuring information. He confirmed that there is no elevated risk for Alzheimer's disease and noted that Kardashian shows no signs of being "terribly stressed, not anxious, and not depressed."
The doctor praised her positive attitude, saying "You are extraordinary in being positive," to which Kardashian responded with confidence: "I have a beautiful brain. I've heard that before."
Previous Aneurysm Diagnosis Revealed
This brain scan comes just weeks after Kardashian shocked fans by revealing she had been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. During the November 20 episode of her reality show, she shared that doctors had discovered an aneurysm in her brain during a Prenuvo scan.
"There's like a little aneurysm," Kim told her family members. "I did a Prenuvo scan, and they called me today, and they're like, 'Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain.' They're like, 'It's been there for years. It was here a few years ago.'"
According to medical experts, a brain aneurysm represents a swelling in a blood vessel within the brain. Statistics from Brigham and Women's Hospital indicate that approximately 1 out of every 50 people has an unruptured brain aneurysm, with many unaware of the condition due to absence of symptoms. Each year, around 30,000 Americans experience a ruptured brain aneurysm.
Kardashian's health revelations have sparked important conversations about brain health awareness and the impact of chronic stress on physical wellbeing, particularly among high-achieving professionals balancing multiple demanding careers.
