The facility is recording an impressive daily footfall ranging from 250 to 500 patients, indicating a strong community need for its services.

MLA Jeet Arolkar Conducts Inspection and Announces Upgrades

Mandrem MLA Jeet Arolkar visited the hospital on Tuesday to assess its operations and functionality. During his inspection, he highlighted the current services and outlined future developments to enhance patient care.

Current Services and Immediate Plans

  • The hospital currently conducts minor surgeries and provides outpatient consultations, offering essential medical support to the region.
  • Outpatient departments (OPDs) are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with doctors from the Goa Medical College (GMC) available for consultations.

Upcoming Infrastructure and Enhancements

  1. Operation Theatres: Arolkar announced that the operation theatres are expected to become fully operational within the next four to five months, expanding the hospital's surgical capabilities.
  2. Additional Ambulances: To manage the increasing patient influx, additional ambulances will be stationed at the hospital, ensuring timely medical transport.
  3. Mortuary Facility: The mortuary is projected to be operational in the next three to four months, providing comprehensive end-of-life services.
  4. Mobile Connectivity: Addressing a critical issue, Arolkar confirmed that a site has been identified for installing a mobile tower to resolve connectivity problems at the hospital.
