According to the cook, who has chosen to remain anonymous, this shortage has compelled hospital staff to resort to preparing food for patients using makeshift stoves, commonly known as chulhas.

In the footage, the cook is seen preparing meals within a temporary enclosure, utilizing wood and cardboard collected from open areas as fuel sources. The cook explicitly stated, "There has been a shortage of LPG cylinders for four days, due to which we are compelled to cook food in this manner." This revelation has raised significant concerns about food safety and hygiene standards at the healthcare facility.

Chief Medical Officer Ashok Kataria acknowledged the issue, telling TOI, "The matter came to light on Thursday. After speaking to the District Supply Officer, the issue has been resolved." However, District Supply Officer Vinay Kumar Singh offered a starkly different perspective, refuting the claims entirely. Singh asserted, "The claim is baseless and fabricated. There is no shortage of LPG. It should be verified whether a refill was even booked. However, I received a call from the CMO, who said they require one cylinder per day to cook food for patients, and the supply has been provided accordingly."
