ICMTDT-2026 Biomedical Conference Begins in Vadodara

A significant international gathering focused on cutting-edge biomedical research commenced in Vadodara on Tuesday, marking the beginning of the four-day ICMTDT-2026 conference. This prestigious event, hosted at Navrachana University's school of science, brings together leading minds from around the world to address pressing issues in metabolism, toxicology, diagnostics, and therapeutics.

Global Collaboration and Expert Deliberations

The conference serves as a crucial platform for global and Indian experts to deliberate on emerging challenges in biomedical and precision healthcare. With sessions running until January 30, the event features an impressive lineup of 50 speakers, including seven international experts and 43 eminent researchers from premier institutions across India. This diverse participation underscores the conference's importance in fostering scientific exchange and innovation.

Launch of ISPH India Chapter

During the inaugural session, Prof Chin-Kun Wang from Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan, who serves as president of the International Society for Precision Health (ISPH), made a significant announcement. He formally launched the India chapter of ISPH, which will be headquartered at Navrachana University. This initiative aims to strengthen global collaboration in precision and preventive healthcare, positioning India at the forefront of these critical medical advancements.

Distinguished Participants and Scientific Programme

The inaugural session was graced by Prof L S Shashidhara, director of the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in Bengaluru, who attended as the guest of honour. The scientific programme is comprehensive, featuring 12 technical sessions that cover a wide range of topics. These include cellular metabolism, environmental toxicology, microbiome research, reproductive biomedicine, phytotherapeutics, precision health, and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Keynote speakers from Italy, Canada, Australia, and the United States are participating alongside leading Indian scientists, ensuring a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. This international collaboration highlights the conference's role in advancing biomedical research and its applications in improving healthcare outcomes worldwide.
