Centre Launches Mobile App for Community Health Officers to Strengthen Emergency Healthcare Response
In a significant step to enhance last-mile healthcare delivery and improve medical emergency response, the Central government on Monday unveiled a dedicated mobile application for Community Health Officers (CHOs). This innovative tool is designed to facilitate real-time patient management and expedite referrals at Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres across the nation.
Digitizing Clinical Workflows at Primary Care Level
Introduced by the Union Health Ministry, the application aims to transform clinical workflows at the primary care level by replacing largely manual processes that have historically slowed down care delivery. The app enables CHOs to register patients electronically, access comprehensive medical histories, and update treatment records in real time. This digital shift is expected to streamline operations and reduce administrative burdens that often hinder timely healthcare interventions.
