SEVA Dhaam Ashram, operated by SEVA Trust UK (India), has dedicated a free, state-of-the-art physiotherapy centre for women to the community in Saha village, Ambala. The centre aims to provide modern, high-quality physiotherapy services at no cost, focusing on women from rural and economically weaker sections.
Centre Aims to Address Women's Health Issues
Speaking at the inauguration, Anuj Aggarwal, director of Altruist Technologies, emphasised that the progress of any society depends on the health and empowerment of its women. He noted that many women suffer from prolonged physical ailments due to financial constraints, lack of awareness, and limited access to specialised healthcare services. Aggarwal expressed confidence that the centre would play a significant role in relieving pain, improving health, and enhancing the quality of life for thousands of women across the region.
SEVA Trust's Vision for Underprivileged Care
Naresh Mittal, chairman of SEVA Trust UK (India), stated that SEVA Dhaam Ashram is being developed with the vision of providing selfless service to the underprivileged and needy sections of society. He said the dedicated physiotherapy centre for women would be a major relief for those unable to afford regular treatment due to financial hardship. Mittal added, "Neglecting women's health affects not only families but society as a whole. Therefore, providing quality, dignified, and accessible healthcare services to women remains one of the foremost priorities of SEVA Trust UK."
Modern Equipment and Qualified Staff
The centre is equipped with modern physiotherapy equipment and will provide treatment under the supervision of qualified physiotherapists. This initiative is expected to address the gap in specialised healthcare services for women in rural areas, where access to such care is often limited. By offering free services, the centre aims to remove financial barriers that prevent women from seeking timely treatment for physical ailments.
Impact on the Community
The establishment of the centre is seen as a significant step towards empowering women in the region. With many women suffering from chronic pain and mobility issues, the availability of free physiotherapy services is expected to improve their overall health and well-being. The centre's location in Saha village makes it accessible to women from surrounding rural areas, who previously had to travel long distances or forgo treatment altogether.
