Importance of Cell-Line Research

Professor Gurpreet Kaur, Professor in Charge of the Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre, stated that cell-line-based research is vital in the present time. She explained that living cells can be cultivated outside their natural setting under controlled conditions to closely examine disease characteristics and the effects of medicines. She also emphasized that this approach will greatly reduce reliance on animals in experimental work.

This initiative marks a significant advancement for the university, promoting innovation and high-quality research in multiple scientific disciplines.
