Minister Announces Initiative Following Chief Minister's Directives
Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav made the announcement about this new program. He stated that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu personally directed the initiative. The AWARE platform stands for Advanced Warning Advisory for Resilient Ecosystem. This technology will analyze disease severity and potential spread at the primary stage. Such early analysis enables timely medical and governmental intervention.
How the Real-Time Monitoring System Works
The platform integrates data from the past five to six years with current inputs. It tracks communicable diseases including dengue, malaria, and typhoid. Monitoring occurs at both village and secretariat levels for precise location data.
Seasonal diseases linked to changing weather patterns will receive close attention. The RTGS technical capabilities will suggest precautionary measures in advance. This proactive approach could prevent many outbreaks before they begin.
Training and Implementation Across Health Departments
Officials from the directorate of secondary health and medical education have already received training. They learned how to use AWARE for planning and emergency response. The platform continuously tracks climatic changes across the state.
It alerts government machinery and the public about emerging health risks. GIS tools map these risks secretariat-wise, creating visual representations of danger zones.
Expanded Coverage Beyond Seasonal Diseases
The initiative also covers maternal and child health indicators. It compiles detailed information on pregnancies, caesarean deliveries, and infant immunization rates. During cyclones and other disasters, the system will help identify high-risk pregnant women. This identification enables safe evacuation and medical priority for vulnerable populations.
