Woman Found Dead in Hyderabad Hostel Bathroom

A 40-year-old woman from Vijayawada, who had been residing alone in a penthouse room above a women's hostel in Madhura Nagar, Hyderabad, was discovered dead in the hostel's bathroom. The decomposed remains of the victim were recovered on Wednesday night and subsequently sent for an autopsy.

Details of the Incident

The operator of Bharghavi Deluxe Ladies Hostel in Madhura Nagar, M Siva Rama Krishna, reported the matter to the police. He stated that about nine months ago, he had leased a six-floor building in Madhura Nagar from its owner, Chandra Sekhar. The sixth floor comprises three penthouse portions, one of which was retained by the building owner. A woman named Haritha (40), a mehendi artist, was staying alone in that portion.

Around 5 pm on Wednesday, the building owner called Krishna and informed him that Haritha, who had not left her room for two days, was found lying dead in the bathroom. Krishna accompanied the building owner and discovered Haritha's decomposed body on the floor. “We called the police and an ambulance,” the complainant said.
