SOG Busts Dairy Adulteration in Jam Khambhaliya

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Devbhumi Dwarka Police conducted a targeted raid at Jalaram Dairy in Jam Khambhaliya, uncovering an alleged case of dairy adulteration. During the operation, law enforcement officials seized and destroyed suspected adulterated dairy products and chemical substances valued at Rs 2.37 lakh.

Detention and Investigation

The dairy owner, 43-year-old Ketan Asani, was detained for questioning in connection with the adulteration. Following the seizure, an inspector from the Food and Drugs Control Administration (FDCA), Devbhumi Dwarka, was called to the site to conduct preliminary on-site testing of the products.

Seized and Destroyed Items

Officials destroyed 54.437 kg of suspected inedible paneer worth approximately Rs 19,052. Additionally, they seized 648 kg of skimmed milk powder valued at Rs 2.17 lakh and 15.7 kg of acetic acid, a chemical commonly used in adulteration.

Laboratory Analysis

Authorities collected six samples from the site, including milk, curd, paneer, shrikhand, skimmed milk powder, and acetic acid, for further laboratory analysis. Further action will be taken based on the test reports.
