According to official reports from the Vizhinjam coastal police, Antony had embarked on a fishing trip with three companions named Romance, Thaddeus, and Alex around 3:30 PM on Monday. The group was fishing in a pond located approximately 18 kilometers from Adimalathura when the unfortunate incident occurred.
While actively fishing, Antony reportedly complained of feeling unwell and experienced a sudden onset of uneasiness. Without warning, he collapsed at the scene, prompting immediate action from his fellow fishermen.
Emergency Response and Hospitalization
His companions acted swiftly, rushing him back to the shore without delay. They then arranged for his transportation to the Medical College Hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite receiving prompt care and treatment at the hospital, Antony's condition deteriorated.
Police authorities confirmed that he succumbed to his condition around 1 AM on Tuesday while still undergoing medical treatment. The exact cause of death is under investigation, with authorities working to determine the medical circumstances that led to the collapse.
