A tragic incident occurred in Gopalpura village under Kalyanpura police station limits in Indore on Tuesday, where a 12-year-old girl drowned after allegedly falling into a well while fetching water. The victim has been identified as Shivani Makwana.

Incident Details

According to police reports, Shivani had gone to the well with her elder sister to collect water. While she was drawing water, she reportedly lost her balance and slipped into the well. Villagers expressed concern that the well lacked a protective boundary wall, which made it prone to such accidents.

They installed a pump to drain water from the well. After nearly three hours of continuous efforts, the girl was brought out, but unfortunately, she had already died.
