A devastating incident unfolded in Nimgaon village, Jalgaon, on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the tragic death of a 38-year-old farm worker following a severe honey bee attack. The victim, identified as Ganesh Patil, was working on a farm when the aggressive bees struck, leading to fatal injuries.
Details of the Fatal Incident
According to police reports, Ganesh Patil had arrived at the farm owned by Khumsingh Patil around 2:30 PM to carry out his daily agricultural duties. Inspector Rangnath Dharbale from the Yawal police station provided crucial insights into the case, noting that Ganesh resided in Yawal town but commuted to Nimgaon village for work each day.
While diligently performing his tasks, Ganesh inadvertently disturbed a hive of honey bees nesting on one of the trees. The bees became highly aggressive and launched a sudden, vicious attack on him. The onslaught left him with serious injuries, causing him to lose consciousness and collapse on the farm.
Emergency Response and Aftermath
The farm owner, upon discovering Ganesh lying motionless, immediately rushed him to the rural hospital in Yawal for urgent medical attention. Tragically, despite these efforts, Ganesh was declared brought dead upon arrival at the healthcare facility.
