A 29-year-old physical education teacher at a private school in Bhopal's Ratibad area allegedly died after a suspected heart attack on Monday. The teacher, identified as Sourabh Khatik, complained of chest pain during school hours and was rushed to a hospital but died on the way.
Incident Details
Police reported that Sourabh Khatik, a resident of Kamla Nagar, was working as a sports teacher at the school and also ran a private cricket academy. He had reached school in the morning as usual. At around 10 am, he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. A colleague immediately rushed him to a nearby private hospital in Ratibad, from where he was referred to another facility. He was then taken to a private hospital in the Habibganj area, where doctors referred him to Hamidia Hospital for further treatment. However, Sourabh died on the way, police said.
Police Investigation
Police have filed a case and are awaiting the post-mortem report to ascertain the actual cause of death. Colleagues informed police that Sourabh was engaged and his wedding was scheduled for November.
