Kochi: At least 11 individuals were hospitalised in Munambam on Friday after experiencing breathing difficulties due to an ammonia leak at an ice plant, according to police reports. The leak, which took place in the afternoon, was swiftly brought under control by fire department personnel, authorities stated.

Residents residing in the vicinity of the plant reported respiratory distress and were promptly transferred to a primary health centre for medical care. Following treatment, their health conditions showed significant improvement, police added.
