A 35-year-old man died allegedly by suicide in the bathroom of a rehabilitation centre in Kota on Wednesday late evening, police said.

The deceased man was identified as Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Chawani Ramchandrapura in Kota. He was admitted to the drug rehabilitation centre in the city a few days ago.
Mahesh allegedly hanged himself in the bathroom on Wednesday late evening, Sub-Inspector at Udhyog Nagar police station Ibhrahim told.
The centre's staff broke open the bathroom door after he did not respond to knocking for a long time. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, he added.
Legal Proceedings
The police registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of BNSS. The body was handed over to family members after post-mortem on Thursday morning.
Mahesh worked as a driver in a private company and was allegedly addicted to drugs.
