Padmini Ekadashi 2026: Significance
Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious days in Hinduism, purely dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This time, Padmini Ekadashi takes place in the month of Jyeshtha but occurs only once every three years, giving it great importance. Devotees who fast on this Ekadashi are blessed with health, wealth, prosperity, happiness, and spiritual elevation. Childless couples hoping for a healthy child can also benefit from this fast. The confluence of Purushottam Maas makes Padmini Ekadashi even more remarkable, and worshiping the Lord during this time is considered highly fulfilling.
Padmini Ekadashi 2026: Puja Vidhi
Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before starting any puja ritual. Give a bath to the idol of Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, and Laddoo Gopal ji. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Vishnu along with Shree Yantra (a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi). Adorn the idol with a garland, and offer tulsi patra, dry fruits, five seasonal fruits, and homemade sweets. Note that you should not pluck tulsi leaves on the day of Ekadashi, as it is not considered auspicious. Doing charity on this day is highly rewarding. In the evening, worship the Tulsi plant by lighting an earthen lamp near it and circumambulate seven times around it if possible.
