Bada Mangal 2026: Puja Rituals

  1. Devotees take a sacred bath after waking up early in the morning.
  2. Take a sankalp (vow) of observing a fast from dawn to dusk to honor Lord Hanuman.
  3. Clean the space where you want to perform the puja.
  4. Worship Lord Hanuman in the evening, as it is believed that he remains busy in Lord Ram's service during the day.
  5. Visit the temple and offer coconut, sindoor (vermilion), chola (red cloth), jasmine oil, boondi prasad, banana, and gud chana (jaggery and chickpeas) to the Lord.
  6. Place an idol of Lord Hanuman or a Ram Darbar idol on a wooden plank.
  7. Light a diya (lamp) in front of the idol with sesame oil and offer jasmine flowers.
  8. Chant mantras dedicated to Lord Hanuman, recite the Hanuman Chalisa, and chant Ram Naam jap, which he likes the most.
  9. Offer bhog prasad (food offering) such as boondi laddoo, fruits, and gud chana to Lord Hanuman, and then break your fast with sattvik (pure) food.
