Sadie Sink Cried So Much Filming Stranger Things Finale Her Eyes Got Puffy
Sadie Sink's emotional Stranger Things goodbye

Actress Sadie Sink has opened up about the intensely emotional experience of filming the last season of the global phenomenon, 'Stranger Things'. The young star, who plays the beloved character Max Mayfield, confessed that her final days on set were filled with so many tears that they left a visible, and somewhat embarrassing, mark.

An Overwhelming Farewell to Hawkins

Looking back at the conclusion of the hit Netflix series, Sink shared a heartfelt memory of the production wrap. She revealed that the goodbye became so intense that it resulted in some unflattering photographic evidence of her grief. She had cried so much that her eyes became extremely puffy, a state she says they had never been in before.

Reflecting on the moment, Sink recalled, "They had never been like that before and there are some pretty embarrassing photos of me just with these giant puffy eyes." This emotional outpouring wasn't just about finishing a job; it was about saying goodbye to a character she had grown up with, a journey that started in her childhood.

In a previous discussion with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress admitted she hadn't seen the finished episodes yet but was mentally preparing for the impact. She knew watching the final chapter of the sci-fi saga would be a deeply moving experience, ready to share that emotional journey with the show's massive fanbase.

Stepping Back into Music with 'O'Dessa'

Away from the fictional town of Hawkins, Sadie Sink is reconnecting with her first love: music. The actress is set to showcase her singing talents in the upcoming film 'O'Dessa'. This project marks a full-circle moment for Sink, whose career began on the stage.

She first earned critical notice on Broadway in the revival of the classic musical 'Annie'. Describing the new film, she said the project felt both "scary and perfect" for her. The script immediately intrigued her, but it was the music that truly sealed the deal.

"And then I did and I really fell in love with the character and also just the musical world that (writer director) Geremy Jasper had built," Sink explained. She has often credited the theater as the starting point for her passion, a passion that was nurtured by her supportive family from a very young age.
