Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 15 Officially Greenlit by Bravo
Following the explosive conclusion of Season 14, Bravo has officially announced the return of Real Housewives of New Jersey for a highly anticipated fifteenth season. The network confirmed on March 24 that filming will commence later this spring, bringing the beloved reality series back after an almost two-year hiatus.
Core Cast Members Confirmed for Return
The upcoming season will see the comeback of three fan-favorite housewives:
- Teresa Giudice – The franchise veteran, who recently filmed for Bravo's Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary.
- Melissa Gorga – Who appeared on Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition during the break and has reconciled with Teresa's family.
- Dolores Catania – Fresh off her victory in season three of The Traitors, adding to her reality TV credentials.
These three stars will form the core returning cast, with Bravo indicating that additional new cast members will be announced at a later date. The trio's dynamic has evolved significantly since Season 14, with Teresa and Melissa's families mending their longstanding rift, potentially setting the stage for new storylines.
Notable Departure: Margaret Josephs Exits the Franchise
In a significant casting change, Margaret Josephs has confirmed she will not be returning for Season 15. The 58-year-old reality star revealed her departure in an Instagram video hours before Bravo's official announcement, stating she had been "in talks" with Bravo and executive producer Andy Cohen since December but ultimately decided "the timing is right" to walk away.
"I have to tell you something that might come as a little surprise to you, but not for me," Josephs said in her video. "I've been thinking about a lot of different things and I am moving on from The Real Housewives of New Jersey."
Background: The Two-Year Hiatus and Canceled Reunion
The popular series has been on pause since June 2024, when the Season 14 reunion was canceled due to deep-seated conflicts among cast members. The rift involved multiple housewives including Giudice, Gorga, Catania, Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jenn Fessler.
This extended break allowed cast members to pursue other projects and personal growth, with each returning member achieving notable milestones:
- Teresa Giudice expanding her reality TV presence beyond RHONJ
- Melissa Gorga exploring new television formats
- Dolores Catania proving her competitive prowess on another reality show
As production gears up for Season 15, fans can expect the signature drama, family dynamics, and lavish lifestyle that have made Real Housewives of New Jersey a cornerstone of Bravo's programming. The return comes at a pivotal moment as the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary, promising fresh storylines with familiar faces at the helm.
