Prime Video Announces New Seasons for Panchayat, Sandeep Bhaiya, and Gram Chikitsalay
Streaming giant Prime Video has officially announced the return of several beloved original series, including new seasons for Panchayat, Sandeep Bhaiya, and Gram Chikitsalay. The announcement, made on Thursday, also includes a second season for the comedy-drama Sapne Vs Everyone. However, the platform has not yet revealed the release dates for any of these shows.
Panchayat Season 5: Abhishek Faces New Challenges
The long-running rural comedy-drama Panchayat is set to return for its fifth season. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Chandan Kumar, the new season will continue the story of engineering graduate-turned-panchayat secretary Abhishek, played by Jitendra Kumar. This time, Abhishek finds himself in a hostile work environment under new, vengeful leadership as he prepares to pursue his MBA ambitions. He must first resolve his unfinished business in the village of Phulera.
The core cast, including Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Saanvika, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, and Sunita Rajwar, will reprise their roles. Since its debut in April 2020, the series has followed Abhishek's journey from a reluctant outsider to a central figure in Phulera's politics and relationships over four seasons.
Gram Chikitsalay Season 2: A Battle Against Corruption
Gram Chikitsalay, which premiered on Prime Video in 2025, is also returning for a second season. Directed by Lalitam Tiwari and written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava, season two follows the idealistic Dr. Prabhat. He discovers that the lack of medicines at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) and the future of ward boy Gobind are controlled by Babu Saheb, a corrupt official from the Chief Medical Officer's office.
The season stars Amol Parashar, Akash Makhija, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Garima Vikrant Singh, and Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua).
Sandeep Bhaiya Season 2: Confronting the Past
Sandeep Bhaiya, based on the beloved character from TVF's hit series Aspirants, is set for a second season. Directed by Parijat Joshi and written by Nitin Tewari, the new chapter picks up the story of Sandeep Ohlan, played by Sunny Hinduja, a civil services aspirant in Prayagraj after his fiancée Kusum ends their engagement.
Six years later, Sandeep crosses paths with Kusum again, forcing him to confront his past. The show will also feature Deepali Gautam, Punit Tiwari, and Pankhuri Awasthy. The first season, which premiered in 2023, followed Sandeep after his final failed UPSC attempt and his journey of finding purpose by mentoring a tiffin delivery girl.
Sapne Vs Everyone Season 2: Dreams and Destiny
Prime Video is also bringing back Sapne Vs Everyone for a second season. Written and directed by Ambrish Verma, the new season follows two men chasing their dreams in different worlds. Prashant battles Mumbai's ruthless film industry to build his career, while Jimmy, a real estate salesman known as the "Sales God," seeks revenge on his maternal uncle.
Both men grapple with whether destiny is decided by fate or by those bold enough to seize it. The cast includes Ambrish Verma, Paramvir Singh Cheema, Vijayant Kohli, Abhishek Chauhan, Nidhi Shah, Khushali Kumar, Naveen Kasturia, and Vaishak Shankar.
All four shows are produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), and fans eagerly await the announcement of release dates from Prime Video.
