Kapil Sharma's Show Gets 2.3M Views, Ranks 2nd on Netflix

Kapil Sharma's popular comedy talk show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, has made a strong comeback with its fourth season, amassing impressive viewership numbers on Netflix. The latest data reveals that the show has garnered significant attention, positioning it as a top contender in India's competitive OTT landscape.

Strong Viewership Numbers and Rankings

According to the latest report from Ormax Media, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4 has recorded 2.3 million views in its first two weeks. This performance has earned it the second spot on the list of the Top 5 most-watched non-fiction shows on OTT platforms in India. The show is only behind Laughter Chefs Season 3, which leads the chart with 4.3 million viewers.

This marks a notable improvement for the franchise, as previous seasons had struggled to make a significant impact in terms of viewership. The new season premiered on Netflix in December 2025, merely three months after the conclusion of its third season.

Netflix Dominance and Global Reach

Further solidifying its success, the show has also secured the second position in Netflix India's own Top 10 list. Data published on Netflix's Tudum platform confirms its popularity among Indian subscribers. Notably, the latest episode of the show has managed to feature in the Top 10 charts across seven different countries, indicating a growing international appeal. However, it has yet to break into the platform's global Top 10 ranking.

The episode featuring global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas, which aired in the last week of December 2025, alone attracted 1.5 million viewers. The season also kicked off with a special episode featuring the celebrated Indian Women's Cricket Team.

The Upcoming Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday Episode

The big question now is whether the show can maintain this positive momentum. All eyes are on the third episode of the season, which is set to feature Bollywood stars Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday as guests. The actors are promoting their upcoming film, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

As per the released promo, the episode will see Kartik Aaryan making a candid confession about never having fallen in love, with Ananya Panday sharing her perspectives on modern relationships. The episode promises the show's signature comedy sketches, including a spooky spoof and Sunil Grover mimicking superstar Aamir Khan.

The core cast, including Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Rajiv Thakur, Sunil Grover, and Archana Puran Singh, continues to deliver the laughs. The Great Indian Kapil Show streams new episodes every Saturday at 8 pm exclusively on Netflix India.
