Maanvi Gagroo Bids Farewell to Siddhi After 10 Years as 'Four More Shots Please!' Season 4 Drops
Four More Shots Please! Season 4 Out, Maanvi Gagroo on OTT Shift

The much-anticipated fourth and final season of the popular web series 'Four More Shots Please!' premiered on Prime Video on December 19, 2025. This release marks a significant moment for actress Maanvi Gagroo, who officially says goodbye to her character, Siddhi Patel, after portraying her for nearly a decade across streaming platforms.

In a recent interview, Gagroo opened up about her character's evolution and the broader changes in how women are portrayed on Indian digital screens. She traced Siddhi's journey from a 'lost rich girl' in the first season to a confident stand-up comedian in the final chapters, highlighting themes of body positivity, the fears of live comedy, and the push for more authentic female representation.

The OTT Revolution in Female Portrayal

Maanvi Gagroo pointed to a pivotal shift in writing for women characters, crediting the OTT (over-the-top) space for this transformation. She recalled her experience in the early web series 'Pitchers' as a personal game-changer. The actress noted that while female-led narratives existed in films, they were limited, and television, though centered on women, often lacked progressive portrayal.

"With OTT, in fact with 'Pitchers', my favourite thing was that it never defined Shreya, the character I played, in a physical way," Gagroo explained.

Refreshing Scripts That Humanise Women

Elaborating on what made 'Pitchers' and subsequent OTT content different, Gagroo shared a key observation about scriptwriting. "Usually, when you get a script, the character's entry says, 'And a beautiful, attractive girl walks in' or 'A cute, bubbly girl walks in.' But in this, there was none of that," she said.

"It was just, 'Shreya, 26 years old, comes in—she's very confident, she's this, she's that.' She was defined by her personality traits rather than her physical traits. I thought that was so refreshing," Gagroo added. She believes this approach paved the way for shows like 'Four More Shots Please!' to place women firmly at the center of stories.

The actress passionately argued that this show played a crucial role in humanising women on screen. "You may like it or not, but you can't deny the fact that this was the first show that humanised women. Because up until then, women were either very perfect or pious or... they were like a complete vamp, meaning someone who breaks homes and all of those negative things," she stated.

Gagroo emphasised that the show portrayed 'normal girls' who make bad choices, are good sometimes, and stand by each other, presenting a multifaceted and relatable picture of womanhood that was sadly rare before.

A Star-Studded Final Bow

The final season on Prime Video brings back the iconic core quartet: Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J, and Maanvi Gagroo. Familiar supporting cast members including Prateik Babbar, Lisa Ray, Rajeev Siddhartha, Ankur Rathee, and Milind Soman also return.

Adding fresh dynamics to the narrative, new faces join the ensemble. Dino Morea steps in as Anjana's new love interest, while actors Anasuya Sengupta and Kunaal Roy Kapur take on key roles in the concluding chapter of this landmark series.
