He first entered the spotlight as a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT in 2021 and later joined Bigg Boss 15 Hindi as a wild card entry. However, his journey was cut short due to a medical emergency, forcing him to exit prematurely. Now, sources close to the production have confirmed to ETimes that Raqesh Bapat has been finalized as a contestant for the upcoming Marathi season, effectively giving him a chance to complete his reality TV saga. Attempts to reach the actor for comment remained unanswered at the time of reporting.

"I never plan any strategy while hosting and react spontaneously as per the contestant's behaviour," Deshmukh stated. He also expressed his creative involvement in this edition, sharing his excitement for the fresh content and games designed specifically for this season, some of which have never been tried in any Bigg Boss iteration before.
