Saiee Manjrekar, known for her role in the film 'Major', is currently working on an exciting new project produced by Ram Charan's production banner. The film is a period drama set in the time before India gained independence, marking a departure from the actress's previous work. In a recent interview, she discussed how this project has influenced her perspective as an actor.
Exploring a Different Era
According to a report by Filmibeat, Saiee Manjrekar shared insights about the film, describing it as being set in a 'different era'. She expressed enthusiasm about working on a period piece, stating, 'Working on a film based in a different era, the time period is very interesting. There's a different texture, language, art, fashion that is truly exciting to be on sets for.'
She also noted how the experience has changed her approach to observing things. 'It makes you slow down and observe things differently as an actor, because everything from the way people spoke to how they expressed emotions was so different,' she added.
Costumes and Environment Add Depth
Saiee emphasized the role of costumes and setting in enhancing her performance. 'Even the costumes and the overall environment help you stay in that world, and that really adds to the performance. For me, it has been a learning experience to understand that mindset and bring that honesty into the character,' she said.
The film's team has meticulously crafted sets, costumes, and dialogues to authentically replicate the historical period. The narrative moves at a slower pace to align with the story's requirements, allowing actors to remain true to their roles. For Saiee, this project represents a new chapter in her career, and collaborating with Ram Charan's banner adds to its significance.
