Maddock Films has released the first look of its upcoming biographical drama 'Prahaar', featuring Rajkummar Rao as the renowned public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. The film, directed by Avinash Arun, is set to hit theatres on August 7, 2026.

The teaser, currently playing in theatres alongside 'Cocktail 2', centres on Nikam's prosecution of Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist from the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film's tagline asks, 'Why did it take so long to hang Kasab?' as Rao's character unfolds the truth behind the case.

Alongside Rajkummar Rao, the film stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Sikander Kher, and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, 'Prahaar' is directed by Avinash Arun, known for 'Three of Us' and 'Paatal Lok'.
