Naga Chaitanya's 'Vrushakarma' Likely Delayed to Dec 2026

Telugu star Naga Chaitanya is currently occupied with his next project, the mystical adventure thriller 'Vrushakarma', directed by Karthik Dandu. As the film remains in the production stage, the latest buzz indicates that its expected theatrical release date might be postponed.

Reported Release Date for 'Vrushakarma'

According to a report by 123Telugu, the makers are reportedly planning a December 2026 release. However, there is still no official confirmation from the team regarding this date. Reports suggest that the film's post-production work is taking longer than anticipated. Since 'Vrushakarma' incorporates heavy visual effects and fantasy elements, the makers reportedly want to invest extra time to ensure the work is completed properly.

Naga Chaitanya on the Film's Scale

Earlier, in a conversation with Variety India, Naga Chaitanya discussed the film's scope. "There is a lot of VFX involved in 'Vrushakarma' as we want to create a large-scale theatrical experience for the audience," he said.

Shooting Almost Complete

During the same interview, he also shared that the film is nearly finished and they are considering a release between August and October. "The film is 90 per cent complete, but there is still 10 per cent left. That is why we don't have an exact release date yet, but are eyeing the August to October window," he stated. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, the film seems to be pushed back by a couple of months.

Speaking about the production, earlier this month the makers also revealed that they completed a crucial schedule in Rajasthan and shared behind-the-scenes pictures showing the team shooting and chatting.

The film also stars 'Laapataa Ladies' fame Sparsh Shrivastava as the main villain, with Jayaram and Satya in key roles. The music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
