Naga Chaitanya, the son of Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna, has carved his own niche in the film industry over the years. Fans have always cherished seeing the father-son duo share screen space, and now the 'Thandel' actor has teased exciting news about their next collaboration.
Naga Chaitanya on ‘Bangarraju’ Sequel
In a recent interview with Variety India, Naga Chaitanya revealed that a sequel to the 2022 film 'Bangarraju' is in the works. He stated, “We are currently planning the sequel to ‘Bangarraju.’ So, you can look forward to seeing us on the big screen soon.” This announcement has sparked enthusiasm among fans who have been eagerly waiting to see Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya together again. The duo has previously starred in three films—'Manam' (2014), 'Premam' (2016), and 'Bangarraju'—all of which were well-received by audiences who still fondly discuss their memorable scenes.
Naga Chaitanya on Balancing Work with Father
Speaking about the experience of working with his father, Naga Chaitanya explained the delicate balance between their personal relationship and professional roles. He shared, “You know it's a thin line. You have to flip from being in the father-son relationship to the actor on screen. We have a lot of fun together, but he is also the producer. So, there's a lot of creative banter, but at some point, you sort of figure out, saying, 'Okay, this is where I draw the line.' You let him take the final call.”
Meanwhile, as Nagarjuna prepares for his milestone 100th film, rumors suggest that his sons, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, might make cameo appearances in the project. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.
Movies Lined Up Ahead
On the professional front, Naga Chaitanya is busy with his upcoming film 'Vrushakarma', directed by Karthik Dandu. Described as a supernatural adventure thriller with a dark theme, the movie also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary and Sparsh Shrivastava in pivotal roles.
