Advance bookings for Drishyam 3 have already crossed a major milestone. According to film industry tracker AB George, the film's worldwide advance sales have reached approximately Rs 5.20 crore. The update was shared on X on May 11. The tweet reads, "#Drishyam3 Worldwide Advance Reached ₹5.20Cr, Overseas - $320K 10 Days To Go… @Mohanlal @jeethu4ever @antonypbvr."
Hindi Version of 'Drishyam 3' Set for October 2 Release
The Hindi adaptation of Drishyam 3 is also progressing steadily. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak shared updates about the project. Abhishek confirmed that the shoot has been completed. Only patchwork remains. The Hindi version is slated to release on October 2.
Speaking about the Hindi adaptation, Abhishek said, "The shoot is done. We are currently working on some patchwork and will release it on October 2. There's a lot of excitement around the film. What people are seeing right now in Malayalam Drishyam is different. For the Hindi audience, I have created a completely different track that will work beautifully here. The Malayalam version focuses more on family drama, while the Hindi version will lean more towards a family thriller. That's the fabric of the film. When the trailer releases, audiences will see how different the two worlds are."
He also spoke about working with Mohanlal. Abhishek said, "For the last 10 years, we have been associated with Drishyam. Finally, we have been presenting the film and distributing it worldwide. Mohanlal sir is a very humble, down-to-earth and sweet person. It has been a very interesting collaboration. There are certain things we are collaborating on, and they are currently in talks. He's one of the biggest stars of Malayalam cinema, and working with him has been a whole new experience."
Ajay Devgn and Mohanlal Collaboration Teased
When asked about the possibility of a film featuring Ajay Devgn and Mohanlal together, Abhishek said in the same interview, "Time will tell if the collaboration will happen or not. Possibly, you never know. It's possible that these two big stars come together in some film. But yes, that's going to be a huge one if it happens."
