Flexible Monthly Options Now Available
For the first time, JioHotstar offers monthly subscriptions across all its tiers. The Mobile tier starts at just Rs 79 per month. The Super tier costs Rs 149 monthly, while the Premium tier is priced at Rs 299 per month.
Previously, the platform focused mainly on quarterly and annual subscriptions. This shift to monthly plans reflects changing viewer habits. More people now prefer shorter commitment periods.
Details of the New Pricing Structure
The new plans cater to different types of users. Mobile users can access content on one device with ads. Super tier subscribers can use two devices with ads included. Premium users enjoy ad-free streaming on up to four devices, except for live sports and some live shows.
Hollywood content comes standard with Super and Premium tiers. Mobile tier users need an add-on to watch Hollywood titles. This allows them to customize their subscriptions and avoid paying for unwanted content.
Impact on Existing Subscribers
Current subscribers will not see any immediate changes. Their plans and prices remain the same as long as auto-renewal stays active. The new pricing primarily targets fresh subscribers looking for flexibility.
