'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', which hit cinemas on March 19, has shattered box office records by amassing over Rs 1300 crore in the domestic market and Rs 1800 crore globally. The film continues to dominate social media conversations, with fans eagerly awaiting its OTT debut. Speculation about the digital release has intensified due to a change in streaming platforms. While the first installment was available on Netflix, the sequel adopts a split-platform strategy: international audiences will see it on Netflix, while Indian viewers will access it via JioHotstar.
Platform Details and Extended Cut
The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, is expected to premiere internationally on Netflix between May 14 and 15, 2026, depending on regional time zones. Overseas, it will be released under the alternate title 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Raw & Undekha)', also referred to as 'Raw & Unseen'. This version is marketed as a darker, more intense cut featuring uncensored material and additional scenes omitted from the theatrical release. Indian audiences, however, will stream it on JioHotstar, ending days of confusion over its digital availability.
Runtime and Content Changes
The OTT edition reportedly runs approximately 3 hours and 52 minutes, slightly longer than the theatrical version's 3 hours and 49 minutes. Reports indicate that the streaming cut restores several dialogues, heightened violence, and extended scenes that were trimmed during the certification process. This extended cut has sparked significant discussion among fans, with many comparing the two versions.
The OTT release date for India has not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more updates on 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' and other entertainment news from the Times of India.
