May God grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to the families in this difficult time.' He also announced an immediate ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
Former Chief Minister and senior leader Nitin Nabin also expressed grief. He tweeted, 'The loss of lives due to the fire at a private hospital in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, has deeply distressed me. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed souls and give strength to their families to bear this unbearable pain. I also wish for the speedy recovery of all those injured in this accident.'
Investigation and Rescue Operations
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. Rescue operations were carried out by the fire brigade and local police, who managed to evacuate several patients and staff from the hospital. The injured have been admitted to other medical facilities for treatment.
