Security Incident at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

Leavitt told Fox News before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last month that President Donald Trump’s speech would be “funny” and that “there will be some shots fired tonight in the room.” The phrase was meant as a normal expression for political jokes that the POTUS usually makes in his speeches. However, shortly after, a real security incident involving gunfire occurred at the event, which caused the clip to go viral. The shooter was captured and nobody in the venue got hurt except a security personnel who exchanged gunfire with the attacker.
