TikTok Chef Tineke Younger Shares Heartbreak of Losing Twin, Health Update on Newborn
TikTok Chef Tini Younger Opens Up on Twin Loss, Newborn's Health

Popular TikTok chef and content creator Tineke "Tini" Younger has shared a deeply emotional and personal update with her followers, detailing the heartbreaking loss of one of her twin daughters and providing a hopeful health update on her surviving newborn. The update, posted on January 2, comes weeks after she first revealed the tragic news in November.

A Heartfelt Update on Healing and Family

In a sincere Instagram post, Younger addressed the two most pressing concerns from her community. First, she shared that her newborn daughter, whom she affectionately calls L (baby B), is doing well. "Just wanted to hop on socials real quick and just let everyone know L (baby b) is doing good, we love her so much," she wrote, accompanying her words with photos. She added a tender detail, noting that "L loves to smile in her sleep."

Simultaneously, Younger made it clear that her late daughter, Arya, remains an integral part of their family's life. "We remind her everyday about Arya and Arya definitely plays with her sister in her dreams," she expressed, highlighting how they keep the memory of their lost child alive for her surviving twin.

The Tragic Loss and Postpartum Recovery

This was Younger's first substantial update since she stepped back from social media after announcing Arya's death on November 26. In that initial revelation, she explained that her pregnancy had nearly reached full term. "We made it to almost 36 weeks. We were so close to being done and getting the girls to term but I had a placenta abruption and we lost our sweet girl," she had written. At that time, she reassured everyone that Arya's twin sister was "doing really good and breathing on her own."

In her January post, Younger opened up about her own physical and emotional healing process. "I’m not sure when I will be back. I’m still emotionally and physically trying to heal, I’ve had some complications during my postpartum which I’m still trying to recover from," she shared. She ended her message with gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone who sends love."

A Promise to Remember and Celebrate

From the beginning, Younger has been determined to honour Arya's memory. In her November post, she promised, "They both are so beautiful and Arya will always be celebrated, her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister." This commitment to ensuring the surviving twin knows her sister underscores the family's journey through profound grief.

Tineke "Tini" Younger, who gained fame through her TikTok cooking videos and later appeared on the show Next Level Chef, announced her pregnancy in June, months after marrying Antoine Wright Jr. For now, she plans to share only small updates as she focuses on healing and caring for her family.
