Shagun Sharma, who is currently seen in the popular television show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is all set to participate in the upcoming season of the adventure reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. This has led to speculation about whether she is quitting the long-running fiction series. However, Shagun has put all rumors to rest.
Not Quitting, Just Taking a Break
In a recent conversation, Shagun clarified that she is not leaving Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi permanently. She explained, “I have been doing fiction shows for almost seven to eight years now and wanted to do something out of my comfort zone. Hence, I decided to take up the Khatron offer. No, I am not quitting Kyunki, I’ll just be taking a short break and will return to the show in the future. Ekta Kapoor (producer of Kyunki) has been very supportive.”
Preparing for the Challenge
Shagun shared that she has already started preparing for the reality show. “I am looking forward to it. Trekking is common for people like us from Himachal Pradesh. But other than that, I have never done anything adventurous, so my parents were like, ‘Can you really manage?’” she says with a laugh.
Personal Life: Staying Guarded
On the personal front, Shagun, who had earlier admitted to dating her Kyunki co-actor Aman Gandhi, now prefers to stay guarded. She stated, “I don’t want to comment on Aman or anything about my personal life now. Let’s just say I am single and want to focus on my work. These personal details become mere gossip for people and then overshadow the hard work one has put in over the years.”
