Salman Khan enjoys a massive fan following, not only for his memorable movie roles but also for his charitable work. A heartwarming incident from his early years has resurfaced, shedding light on his compassionate nature from a very young age. The story was recalled on the television show Mission Sapne by Sonali Bendre.
The Incident at School
When Salman was just 10 years old, he studied at a Christian school in Bandra, Mumbai. The school had students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. One day, a priest addressed the students, speaking about the struggles faced by some children. He explained that several students came from families of daily wage earners who often found it difficult to provide proper meals. The priest encouraged students from more privileged backgrounds to step forward and support their classmates.
A Young Boy's Decision
The message left a strong impact on young Salman. Moved by the situation, he approached the priest and asked how many children needed help. When told that around 12 students were affected, he made a decision that stood out. He offered to bring all of them home for a proper meal. What began as a one-time gesture soon turned into a routine, and Salman ensured that these children received food at his house regularly. Even at such a young age, Salman Khan understood the seriousness of the issue and chose to act instead of simply listening.
The Roots of Being Human
This childhood compassion shows the roots of what Salman represents today. He is widely known for his charitable work and is closely associated with the idea of #BeingHuman. The Being Human Foundation, founded by Salman in 2007, continues this legacy. The organization focuses on education and welfare for underprivileged communities.
A Milestone Message
When the foundation completed 12 years, Salman shared a heartfelt note with his followers. On Twitter, he wrote, “Aaj Being Human Foundation ne 12 yrs complete kar liya hai app sab ki kripa or support services ke saath. Long n healthy life to all of u n may Being Human always be there. Thank u all, god bless!”
