Rod Stewart Collapses On Stage, Needs Oxygen

Rod Stewart, the legendary singer, experienced a frightening moment during his concert at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City. According to TMZ reports, Stewart appeared to be in pain while performing and was forced to pause the show. Staff members rushed to bring him an oxygen tank as he doubled over on stage. After receiving oxygen backstage, he returned to perform the remainder of the concert seated in a chair. Despite the incident, he cracked jokes with fans about his health and the pause.

Recent Health Struggles Lead To Cancellations

This incident follows a series of cancellations due to health issues. Stewart had previously cancelled several shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas after doctors ordered him to rest. He rescheduled those dates and also cancelled some performances in Nevada and California. In an official statement, he said, “So sorry, my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage, and we'll see you soon - Sir Rod.”

Fans Angered By FIFA Opening Ceremony Appearance

Just days before the fainting episode, Stewart cancelled a concert on June 12 only hours before showtime, citing an acute upper respiratory infection and laryngitis. However, hours later, he posted a video from a private jet with his sons, stating he would not miss the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony to watch his favourite team. This sparked outrage among fans, who questioned whether he was genuinely ill or prioritising the sporting event over his concert obligations.
