Rashami Desai Slams Pranit More Over Comedy Show Controversy

Pranit More has been making headlines since a clip from his recent comedy show went viral. In the video, a 23-year-old man named Himanshu can be heard making derogatory remarks while mentioning how he paid Rs 370 on a date for a woman and hence wanted something in return. What made fans angry was that the Bigg Boss 19 fame did not question Himanshu’s controversial comments and instead laughed at his statements. Many fellow celebrities have now called out Pranit, including Rashami Desai.

Rashami Desai’s Reaction

Rashami Desai called out Pranit More and Himanshu Jangra by sharing a reel posted by Praful Garg on her Instagram Stories. In the caption, she wrote: “Praful bhai, this is not comedy. It is a normal talking conversation and it has no content. They start communicating like this when they don’t have content or creativity. Pranit is not an artist. He’s also not a comedian. The fraternity will get trolled unnecessarily; this is really bad for real artists. And this boy has lost his job. Also, Pranit ke bhi shows band hone chahiye. #ShameOnPranit. Shame on Gurgaon Boy.”

Other Celebrities Join the Criticism

Several other celebrities, including Elvish Yadav and Malti Chahar, have slammed Pranit over the same incident. The backlash has been widespread on social media, with many condemning the comedian’s failure to address the audience member’s sexist remarks.

Pranit More’s Apology

Pranit More issued an apology in response to the criticism. He wrote: “I’ve seen the criticism regarding a recent crowdwork clip. The comments made by the audience member do not reflect my views. Looking back, I should have challenged the remark instead of laughing and moving on. That was a lapse in judgment on my part. Live crowdwork often involves reacting in real time, but that’s not an excuse. I take the feedback seriously and will be more thoughtful in how I handle similar situations going forward. We’ve also removed the video from all our platforms, as I don’t want to amplify or normalize those views.”

He further stated: “I appreciate everyone who raised their concerns respectfully. I sincerely apologize for whatever happened, and I’ll take this lesson forward. I’m human, and like anyone else, I’m constantly learning. Being called out when I get something wrong doesn’t make me smaller but helps me grow. I accept that I could have handled this better, and I’ll be more mindful never to unintentionally support or normalize such views in the future.”

Despite the apology, Pranit has deactivated his Instagram account amid the ongoing controversy. The incident has sparked a broader conversation about the responsibility of comedians and public figures in addressing harmful remarks during live performances.
