Parag Tyagi Dismisses Bizarre Rumours About Shefali Jariwala

Parag Tyagi has once again addressed the swirling rumours surrounding the death of his wife, Shefali Jariwala, on June 27, 2025. In a recent interview with Filmygyan, he dismissed several bizarre claims circulating on social media, urging people to stop believing what he called 'WhatsApp University.'

Clarifying Health Rumours

During the interview, Parag was asked about rumours claiming that Shefali had taken certain injections that affected her health. Reacting strongly, he expressed surprise at the stories being spread online. 'She was the fittest she had ever been,' he said, revealing that Shefali followed a normal lifestyle and enjoyed regular home-cooked meals.

'We ate normal food. Dal, sabzi, roti, all of it. Protein intake was higher, but everything was normal. She was at her fittest at this point in her life,' Parag explained. He also recalled how the family enjoyed food together and laughed off rumours that Shefali relied on injections to suppress hunger. 'We ate Chinese, noodles, ice cream. Why would we need injections for hunger?' he said.

Anti-Ageing Injection Claims Dismissed

Reacting to another rumour claiming that Shefali used anti-ageing injections, Parag sarcastically said, 'Please tell me too. If there was an injection to stay young, everyone would take it. We would have given it to our parents.' He added, 'If that were true, Ratan Tata ji would still be alive today.' Parag admitted that while people continue making assumptions online, he has now made peace with the situation. 'When it has to happen, it happens. You can't control it,' he said.

Emotional Trauma and Coping

Apart from addressing rumours, Parag opened up about the emotional trauma he experienced after Shefali's demise. He admitted that accepting the reality was the toughest part. 'In one second, life completely changed. I was numb,' he shared. The actor said he still feels Shefali's presence around him and believes she continues to guide him every day. 'She comes in my dreams. She helps me and guides me. She is still with us,' he said emotionally.

Remembering Shefali's Legacy

Remembering their bond, Parag called Shefali his mentor, best friend, and biggest support system. 'She is my backbone. She taught me everything. I consider her my guru,' he said. He also revealed that one of Shefali's biggest dreams was to start a foundation focused on girls' education and empowerment. 'She wanted girls and women to become self-dependent and strong,' he shared, adding that he now wants to fulfil her dream himself.

Towards the end of the interaction, Parag spoke about getting a tattoo dedicated to Shefali. He revealed that their daughter Pari insisted that the tattoo should include sindoor because 'she was a suhagan.' 'She will remain with me forever,' Parag said.
