During a conversation on the 'Call Me Daddy' podcast, the 'Don't Worry Darling' actress discussed her past relationships. She revealed a specific moment when she understood that her relationship with the 'We're the Millers' actor was finished.

She shared that on March 10, 2020, the two actors had been experiencing many issues in their partnership. During a car ride home, a brief conversation made her realize their relationship was going nowhere. She stated, "We were driving home from my birthday party that my friends had hosted. And I said, 'Did you get me a birthday present?' And he said, 'What would I get you, Olivia? I don't know you.' And he wasn't wrong. We didn't know each other anymore."

She added, "And this is the thing that made me want to make ['The Invite'] because, or one of the things, because you can reach a point in a relationship where you stop engaging in knowing each other and the curiosity about each other." They had a conversation and decided their relationship had run its course. However, she noted that two days after reaching this harrowing conclusion, the COVID-19 lockdown began worldwide, and everyone was stuck at home.

Olivia Wilde on Co-Parenting with Jason Sudeikis

During the same podcast, Wilde also mentioned that although they are no longer together, they are on good terms and actively co-parent their two children, Daisy and Otis.

Elaborating on the subject, Olivia said, "Once you are sharing custody with someone, it shifts the way you think about parenting," calling Sudeikis a "very capable co-parent." She shared that while it is challenging, their arrangement ensures their kids experience the best versions of themselves. She added, "You have to find the balance. But I actually find this kind of divvying up of responsibility can allow for really amazing parenting. Because we are always our best with our kids. They get the best of us."

Wilde and Sudeikis were together starting in 2011 after meeting at an after-party for 'Saturday Night Live.' They got engaged in 2013 but called it quits in 2020 without getting married. They share custody of their two children.
