Hollywood superstar Margot Robbie has candidly shared that she worried she might be "dumb" after deciding against attending university to pursue her acting dreams. The acclaimed actress, best known for roles in "Wuthering Heights" and blockbuster films, discovered her passion for performance during high school in Australia and chose to chase stardom instead of enrolling in higher education.
A Personal Crisis of Confidence

During a recent appearance on the Smartless podcast, the actress revealed her internal struggle: "Part of me was like: 'Oh no, I started acting on Neighbours... I haven't gone to university and I guess I'm never going to at this point. Am I dumb?'"
This insecurity prompted Robbie to take an unusual step to validate her intelligence. She approached her sister, who was studying to become an accountant at university, with a unique request.

Robbie asked her sister if she could complete one of her university assignments as a personal challenge. "I remember saying: 'Can I do one of your assignments? Your uni assignments. Because I just need to check that acting's not making me dumb,'" she recalled.
The actress, who admits numbers and accounting are "not my forte at all," tackled the academic work with determination. To her relief and satisfaction, she earned an A-minus grade on the assignment. "I was like: 'OK cool' and I felt good after that. I'm good. I know I can do it if I need to," Robbie shared, describing the experience as resolving her "cognitive dissonance."
Wild London Days Before Fame
In a separate revelation on the Table Manners podcast, Robbie opened up about her adventurous life in London before achieving international fame. She lived with six friends in a four-bedroom apartment until 2016 and recalled being kicked out of "most of the clubs in Clapham" during that period.
The actress shared a particularly memorable incident at Infernos, a popular London venue. "We all had a weekend in London when the job was done. And of course, we went to Infernos, and within about 15 minutes, we got kicked out," she recounted.
As security escorted them out, Robbie protested: "But this is Infernos, you can't get kicked out of Infernos." The bouncer responded firmly: "Look, we allow most things, but when your friend does (redacted), then we kick you out." Robbie conceded: "Okay, fair enough!"
While she didn't specify what her friend did to cause the ejection, Robbie noted that getting into "a spot of bother" wasn't uncommon for their group during those pre-fame years.
